Extra Credit

1. In New York City, photographer Umar Abbasi had seen the killing of Ki Suk Han, a man who was run over by a New York subway train after being pushed onto the tracks by an anonymous person.
Abbasi had taken out his camera and took photos of the man about to be killed. Abbasi tried to warn the river that something was wrong, but the driver was too late and Han was crushed and rushed to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

2. The photographer was trying to alert the driver that something was wrong.

3. I honestly don't think the photographer should've taken the photo.

4. The photographer did not do the best he could in this situation because he could have tried to help him off of the tracks.

5. I disagree with the decision to run this photo because it shows a human being about to be killed and I just don't like it.

6. Capturing the image of life is more important to a photojournalist because they work to capture the moment not to be in it.

7. I think a photographer should help the person if they're in a serious situation so no I don't think they should just stand there and take a picture.

8.Photojournalists should always avoid influencing events as they happen because then the photograph that they take won't be a real thing.

9. The most appropriate response would be that he could've tried and helped the man, but we also have to think about if he had enough time to save him and if the train was coming to fast.

Citizen Ming Wen was set on fire by other civilians in China after riot. The riot was caused by disagreements within the government.

Part 3:

This photograph represents Simplicity. This photo represents simplicity because while showing the man talking in this photograph it shows the sky being clear. This photographer achieved this by taking the photo from a different viewpoint.

This photograph represents Rule of Thirds. This photograph represents Rule of Thirds because it shows the picture could be divided up into thirds. The photographer achieved this by aiming the photo where the soldier should be and how it would look.

This photograph represents Balance. This photograph represents Balance because on each side of the picture it shows about the same amount of people on each side. The photographer achieved this by putting the subjects in this photo on each side of the picture.

This photograph represents Repetition. This photo represents Repetition because all of the bikers are in the same place doing the same thing. The photographer achieved this rule by taking the photo in the right place at the right time.

The Three Pillars of Exposure

F2.8

F16

What part of the body should we closely relate aperture?
The person/object that is closest to the camera.
The smaller the Aperture the greater the depth, the higher the Aperture the smaller the depth.
Aperture impacts Depth of Field by making the main subject sharp and the background blurry during a large f-stop and the opposite during a small f-stop.

High Shutter Speed

Slow Shutter Speed

At the beginning while the sun is still partially up and the courtyard has reasonable light:
a.) the dunking booth- High Shutter Speed
b.) the food eating contest- High Shutter Speed
c.) the rock climbing wall- High Shutter Speed

Auto - The camera selects what the shutter speed will be depending on it's surroundings.
Aperture Priority - You can change the aperature manualy but the camera changes the shutter speed Automatic Manual - You can change both aperature and shutter speed by hand

ISO 200

ISO 3200

1.It will be easier to capture the moving objects of the players in action.

2. If you have your camera mounted on a tripod or sitting on a flat surface. Your camera will most likely need more time to capture the scene and anything that is moving is probably going to look like a ghost.
3. To set my ISO to a higher number to be able to freeze motion

F4 - 1/250:  The background is blurryF5.6 - 1/60:  The background is less blurryF8 - 1/60:  The background is less blurryF11- 1/60:  The background is more clearF16- 1/30:  It's the same the backgroundF22 - 1/8: When the background is more clear and blurry.

At slow shutter speed people are blurry.A higher shutter speed will solve the problem. The lowest shutter speed is 1/40.
