Photojournalism Preview


They first had to get permission from the people the photographer was photographing, the photographer would have to do research about the problem that was happening.

A photo essay is a collection of images that are in a specific order to tell the progression of events, emotions, and concepts

-Find a topic thats interesting and will make the reader want more
-Research your topic, make sure you have your facts right
-Find the "real story", give more detail about the subject
-Put emotions into the story
-Plan your shots and how you're going to take them

What does HDR stand for?
High Dynamic Range, is a way of processing photos that allows for a wider and deeper range of colors

When you take several shots all at once with different settings

What software can you use to produce an HDR image?
You can use photoshop to produce an HDR photo

To not combine too many photos together and expose too many pixels

Three tips that are important for Landscape/Cityscape photography
-Capturing movement can add drama and give interest into the photo
-Working with the weather can change the mood of the photo dramatically 
-Working during the day isn't always the best choice for lighting. The lighting may be too harsh so its better to shoot around dawn or dusk
